Dakota: Yoon Sul

Yoon Sul is a photographer that i like and take inspiration from his work. He is a photographer from california that has shot for alot of skateboard companys, Hes is also the photgrapher for "The Berrics" the most popular skateboard website on the internet. While he does all of this he still has his own personal side of photography that dosent always have to do with skateboarding.

When Yoon was 15 he ditched class one day to go skate. He was rolling down the side walk on his board when he hit a rock and went flying onto the road. As soon as he looked up there was a mercedes benz barreling towards him, he didnt have enough time to move and got hit.He ended up under the car and one of the oil lines broke and poured into his eyes,when he got out from under the car and couldnt see a thing and thought that being blind was going to be his new reality. after about 5 minutes his vision started to slowly return. After that moment Yoon decided he did not want to forget the beautful things that we see in this world and wanted to pursue Photography. They ended up sueing the woman which paid for his education at Art Center of Desighn's for Photography.

I Like Yoon's work because its simple. Its almost always black and white but his pictures are amazing. He gets great photo's like someone hitting a rail to someone just sitting on the ground. He's gone far in photography, Hes done work for big companys like Red Bull, Nike SB, and Skullcandy. Over all he just sweet and thats why i like him!
